FORGINAL medical was established in 1967 as a result of the merger of a number of forges. The manufacture of forged implants began in 1991, 5 years after Mr. Gérard Terme purchased the company. The company is acknowledged as being one of the pioneers in the medical device subcontracting market in Europe.
Today, with more than 25 years’ experience, FORGINAL medical is a benchmark in the orthopaedic forging market.

The constant search for ever more innovative, high-performance forged implants has naturally resulted in FORGINAL medical acquiring a perfect mastery of the constraints associated with forging materials that are known to be difficult, such as stainless steel and titanium. FORGINAL medical can make your new ranges of prostheses. The company custom makes your parts based on your drawings of the finished implants. We do not have our own range of parts, but devote our know-how exclusively to our customers’ requirements.
FORGINAL medical: a safe choice
FORGINAL medical has annual sales of 11 million euros, 50% of which are for export, mainly in Europe. We have a sound capital base and have been investing 5% of our annual sales in the company’s production facilities for more than 20 years.
We have also established a diversified customer base, to manage our market risk.
Our production site covers a total area of 29,000 m². The site is wholly owned by FORGINAL medical‘s shareholders.
The medical site is dedicated exclusively to stainless steel and titanium precision forging, as are the production staff, who are specialists in this sector.
FORGINAL medical designs and manufactures its own tools in-house and carries out all the testing and resulting refurbishment. It has a 13-strong department totally dedicated to this. This is a strong point which allows us to respond particularly quickly for small series.
