“I started in 1977 in a general mechanical engineering workshop before getting into forging. My experience of general mechanical engineering has been very valuable. What I really like is the huge variety of things we do. Welding, mechanical work, troubleshooting and pipework are just some of the things I do. Maintenance is a huge number of jobs rolled into one. I left my previous jobs because they were boring, but that isn’t the case here. I work in all the departments and see lots of people, and because everyone gets on well together, I enjoy it. “.
